One of the best shows this year, 8 exhibitors exhibited in the Championship Class and Gordon Dowson triumphed with his new seedling a white scented self which he has named Bill Seagrave in honour of the late Bill Seagrave.
Gordon also won the Woodfield Challenge Shield for his three vases, just beating Davy Carr.
Gordon also won the Best Vase of three Blooms with Heracles.
Gordon also won the Silver Medal card along with the new BNCS Medal.
One had to feel sorry for Davy Carr with being runner up in both Championship Classes, here is Davy’s vase of 12 Pink Francesco.
It was certainly Gordon’s day but your time will come Davy.
Right
Gordons new seedling, a bright green self.
Eddie wins the Best Single Bloom with a very nice bloom of
Fancy Irene Ann.
Beverly accepts the award from Phil on behalf of her daughter Alison for the Best Vase of Pinks.
Many thanks to Phil and Barrie for judging the show.
Keith won the Best Bloom for Border Carnations with Urpeth Ian Costen.
Right is the new white highly scented self, Bill Seagrave and I am sure this will be the most popular white self.
It just remains for this season to thank all those who have offered their support and help, all those who have supported our shows and especial thanks to Dobbies for allowing the society to have their shows in their respective venues, thank you all and not forgetting our judges, Barrie, Phil and Eddie many thanks for your time and patience.
